Meet Our Staff

Hi everyone! My name is Bayli Hold.  I am thrilled to be the new K-8 teacher for the 2024-2025 school year!

I grew up in the beautiful state of Colorado with my wonderful family and recently graduated from Weimar University in California.  My passion for teaching started from a young age and has never stopped. I have worked as a residence assistant in Weimar University's girls' dormitory,  as well as gained experience as a literature evangelist, worship coordinator for RiseUp youth ministry and a teen sabbath school teacher.

I love nothing more than Jesus, country living, animals, skiing, playing piano, and         helping to shape young minds for the                                                                                      Kingdom.

I look forward to starting this new journey in Ionia, Michigan, responding to the call of God to teach, guide, and inspire youth to grow in their academic skills and in their relationship with Christ."

Hello!  My name is April Elliott.  I serve as the Teacher's Aide.  My desire is to awaken a sense of curiosity and joy in learning inside the classroom and to apply that knowledge in practical, real world experiences.  My goal is for students to develop a strong faith in God that will bless them and those they meet throughout their lifetime.

I attended Great Lakes Adventist Academy and spend two years in general studies at Andrews University with emphasis in elementary education.  After working in business management positions, I joined the school here in 2017.  I have held a variety of church offices and enjoy interacting with children through  leading out in                       Vacation Bible School and Sabbath  School.                                                                           I enjoy playing flute in the Portland Community Orchestra and exploring other instruments such as the guitar and mandolin.  Other hobbies include gardening,  traveling, reading,  and studying biblical history,  especially creation evidence.  I spend most of my time with my husband and two daughters, two spoiled cats and four miniature horses.
